Why a board and train?

A board and train provides the highest degree of quality control with you and your dog. With a board and train, I get full control to install a rock solid foundation utilizing my skills and experienceAlthough you can train a dog using any of my services, the board and train is the quickest and most reliable way to get your dog training.

What exactly is a board and train and how does it work?

A board and train is when you drop off your dog at my facility and it lives with me in my home for anywhere from two to four weeks, depending on the individual dog. When you come to pick up your dog, there's a 120-180 minute go-home lesson where we go over the training that took place. Before leaving with your dog, we also schedule a 60-minute follow-up session (that's included in the board and train price) to ensure the training transitions to your home environment.

How many dogs do you take at any one time?

I only accept two dogs per month. When you board your dog with me I am the only person training your dog, so it's important that I have the time and attention to ensure your dog receives consistent, high-quality training.

What's included in a board and train service?

  • Goal-setting and expectations consult

  • 24/7 training done in accordance to your goals

  • Toys, tools, and training recommendations tailored to your dog's individual needs

  • 90-120 minute go-home review at pick-up

  • 60-minute follow-up session

  • Ongoing support for any of the training covered in the board and train

"If you work with it just a little each day, 5 minutes, 10 minutes throughout the day then he is willing to do the things we demand."

"My golden retriever Kody has always been a handful and I was constantly yelling at him for one thing or another.  Every chance he got, he would bolt. He would not kennel, pulled on the leash, jumped on the furniture, and would not recall. I'm so lucky Connect K9 Training was able to help us."

-Cherri Crafton
